Breakfast and a Book
One of our prayers this year as a pastoral staff has been that the Spirit of God would create a culture of evangelism at Concord. So far we have already experienced the kindness of God stirring up our awe and wonder of Jesus through the “Praise What You Prize” sermon series in the Gospel of Luke. We are now regularly hearing stories about people boldly sharing their faith with friends, neighbors, and loved ones. It requires boldness to share the gospel, but it also requires clarity, clarity about what evangelism is and isn't, and clarity about how we can share the good news of God's salvation more effectively.
We have begun 5-week book studies on Mack Stiles’ book Evangelism. The goal of this study is simple: to clarify and explain how the whole church - not just gifted evangelists and pastors - speaks of Jesus.
