You and I were made for relationships.

In fact, to a significant degree, your maturity and sanctification in Jesus depend on the spiritual depth and quality of your relationships with other Christ-followers. We all need regular opportunities to share life, wrestle with the daily implications of what it means to follow Jesus, pray for one another in meaningful ways, and care for the spiritual well-being of our brothers and sisters in Christ. Here are the various ways that Concord creates those opportunities for the men and women in our church family:

Sunday School

It is our aim for Sunday School to be a relational environment where people intersect their story with God’s story. Sunday School is for members and guests to connect more deeply with one another through prayer and caring while growing closer through studying God's Word together. We will spend Sunday School reflecting on the previous week’s sermon and applying it to our hearts, plus spending time in prayer and fellowship together. But even if you didn’t get a chance to hear the sermon, don’t worry! Our facilitators will have notes to guide meaningful discussion.

We meet at 9:15am on Sunday mornings. Click HERE to find a class! If you are interested in participating or would like to know more, please contact pastor David Rainer (drainer@concord-baptist.org).

DISCIPLESHIP GROUPS

Discipleship Groups are our primary strategy for discipling one another and inviting others to come along with us.

a. Discipleship Groups are groups of 4 - 8 people.

b. Discipleship Groups meet every other week for approximately 1.5 hrs during the months of August – November and February – May.

c. Discipleship Groups are mostly gender specific, but there are married couples options.

d. Discipleship Groups use a pastor approved resource each semester that guide the meeting times.

e. Discipleship Groups focus on discussing our Triune God and his Word, praying and caring for one another, and life application of the truth.

If you are interested in participating in a Discipleship Group, or if you have any questions, please contact pastor David Rainer (drainer@concord-baptist.org).

Men's and Women's Ministries

Unique opportunities for growth occur when men share in community with men, and women with women. Our gender-targeted ministries seek to develop spiritually edifying relationships with the same gender, to encourage biblical manhood and womanhood, and to grow in godliness as husbands and wives, parents and grandparents, friends and workers. With these goals in view, our men’s and women’s leadership teams coordinate book and Bible studies, off-campus small group discipleship, mentoring, and occasional retreats and fellowships. If you would like to learn more about these ministries, contact please contact pastor David Rainer (drainer@concord-baptist.org).
