The idea of "spiritual warfare" summons different ideas for each of us. It seems distant at times, more of an assumption than a reality. We believe there are spiritual forces at war around us, but we don't often consider our involvement in the battle. Yet, the Bible helps us to think of this topic in very practical and tangible ways.
On Sunday, February 5, we are presenting a special mini-conference, Discipled Warriors: Spiritual Warfare for Every Day. Our guest preacher, Dr. Chuck Lawless, will help us connect our life as disciples, in prayer, and in evangelism, to the reality of spiritual warfare. Chuck is a professor at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and has written and taught extensively on these topics. Dr. Lawless will also teach two afternoon sessions (3:30-4:30pm and 4:45-5:45pm) in the sanctuary. A light dinner, with more Q&A, will follow in the gym at 6pm. The cost of the mini-conference is free, but reservations are required for our meal preparation.
Childcare will be provided for children 5th grade and below, but we will need you to provide more details during the registration process so we can prepare in advance.
